The farm is split between two of the best growing areas of the Bay Area — Santa Cruz’s banana belt, where the weather is relatively hot and dry in the summer and La Selva Beach where there is a stronger coastal influence. This mild climate enables most Santa Cruz farmers to grow vegetables almost year round without having to worry about bolting in the summer and freezing in the winter. The river bed soil is some of the most fertile in Northern California.

Just like our Neighborhood is changing, we are evolving and growing with our surrounding new Amigos. The last 5 years at La Victoria have been difficult and even though the economy has turned we are optimistic that we will not only better ourselves in the coming years, but provide a level of services and products which have not been seen by a business on 24th street in many years.
We raise pastured chickens for both eggs and meat. We turn sunlight, grass, bugs, and high-quality domestic feed into animals that live a healthy and humane life — free to roam in fresh air and peck and take dust baths — and then into delicious and healthy food.
